It is part of the Fremont Union High School District. The school serves mostly suburban residential and IT-enriched areas in eastern Cupertino, southern Santa Clara, and west San Jose.<br /><br />Cupertino High School opened in 1958 with 700 9th and 10th graders and George Fernandez as principal.
